This course covers the history of the United States beginning with the Columbus expeditions and proceeds up to current events. Students will gain skills in reading and analyzing text and documents, creating and supporting points of view, as well as an understanding of events, people and places associated with the history of the US. Students will accomplish these tasks through the use of worksheets, essays, class discussions, quizzes, tests and individual and group projects.
